Photos form the St Georges Day Parade
Sunday 24th April 2016 – St Georges Day Parade. Once again the Parade will take place on the Sunday afternoon of the 24 April. We expect all Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers to attend in full uniform (please). As we have one of the larges (if not the largest) Groups in the St Albans District it would be nice for all members to attend.
Time and Locations: 
1:30 pm at Civic Centre Car park 2.00 pm parade sets off
3.00 pm ceremony in Cathedral Orchard
3.30 pm latest, dismiss…
Parents and supporters welcome to line route and watch ceremony –
Plan for form up in Orchard is attached Beavers at front, Cubs then Scouts, leaders stay with sections. On the morning of the parade a notification will be posted on Facebook group and the St Albans District website confirming that the weather is OK to go ahead. All leaders and their families are welcome to join the District Team at the Hare and Hounds pub http://www.hareandhoundsstalbans.co.uk/ after the dismissal

Swimming Gala – 30th January 2016
Due to a lack of take up from both the Cubs and Scouts sections and combined with the limited time to organise, this year the 1st London Colney Scout Group will not be entering the 2016 District Swimming Gala.
Sorry for those few who were keen in taking part in the event, but there is always next year.
